Today marks a significant shift in my creative journey. Those who know me are aware of my passion for dog photography. Capturing the playful innocence and soulful eyes of our four-legged companions has always been my forte. But life, as they say, is about pushing boundaries and trying out new things.
So, here I am, on day one of filming my very first short film, "Shadows of Silence." Yes, it's a huge leap from photographing dogs to writing a screenplay and directing a movie. The transition hasn't been seamless. Directing humans, setting up shots, ensuring the story flows visually — it's all new and a bit daunting.
Yet, there's an excitement in the air. The thrill of venturing out of my comfort zone and trying my hand at something I've always been curious about is invigorating. "Shadows of Silence" is my attempt to convey emotions that often remain hidden, echoing the unspoken feelings we all harbor.
While the territory is unfamiliar, the essence remains the same: telling a story. Whether through the lens aimed at a dog or a film camera capturing an actor's performance, it's all about evoking emotion and connecting with the audience.
I'll be sharing snippets and behind-the-scenes moments from my filmmaking journey here - but fear not for I shall continue photographing dogs for the foreseeable - that is unless Paramount come knocking ;-)
